One night in Philadelphia

Arriving at Philadelphia Airport in the early evening around 9 o`clock can be as unpleasant as flying with U.S. Air when connecting to Barbados from New York.

Flights to the Caribbean go out early in the morning, so one has to leave the Apple with the last plane to Philly. A short ride with plenty of seats available and of course zero service on a run down small shuttle jet.

Trouble begins when trying to find a hotel for the night.

Of course there are facilities, but as late as "9-30" pick up services can turn out to be completely unreliable. Only after massive protests and with a bit of luck eventually some van may drop by to grab a few stranded passengers for a lift to some nearby hotel.
