A JFK Airport New York experience

JFK Airport New York

JFK Airport New York

One of the largest, busiest and most famous airports in the world is certainly JFK in New York.

From there America connects to cities all over the world whilst the other airport La Guardia is connecting to domestic destinations.

From JFK a fine shuttle bus service takes passengers straight to the heart of Manhattan and one has to say, that the ride is great fun even when the traffic situation is usually chaotic.

The bus ride takes between 30-60 minutes and the rate is $13 and the Express Shuttle costs $14.

Taxis are also decent and cost around $30 to downtown Manhattan.

The size of JFK Airport is massive with various large terminals that are linked by a very fine airtrain.

Prices for drinks and beverages are fairly moderate and except for the paranoid security staff it is always a pleasure to go through JFK.

Besides some unfriendly officers it is fairly easy to find competent and gentle assistance all around the airport.

One obvious observation has been that in particular white security staff tends to overreact like Sep 11 had been yesterday whilst on the contrary most black officers seem to be fairly relaxed though they are doing their job obviously with more precision and professionality.

The design of the JFK buildings does fully convince as it is spacious and visually interesting.
